What makes a condo kitchen different
Condo and high-rise kitchens tend to be compact galley or L-shaped layouts, often with structural columns, soffits, and fixed plumbing you have to work around. Space is at a premium, so every inch of cabinet matters. Light, reflective finishes make compact high-rise kitchens feel larger — popular picks include high gloss white cabinets, high gloss gray cabinets, matte ivory cabinets, and warm oak-shade cabinets. And because you share the building with everyone else, when and how the cabinets arrive is governed by building rules, not just your schedule.
The building logistics we handle for you
- Freight elevator reservations. Most buildings require the freight elevator to be booked for deliveries and give you a set window. We coordinate the drop-off to that window so nothing sits in the lobby.
- Certificates of insurance (COI). Many condo associations and management companies require a COI on file before anyone delivers. We can provide the insurance documentation your building asks for.
- Delivery windows & loading docks. We plan around the building’s allowed hours, loading-dock access, and doorman or management sign-in.
- Protecting common areas. Deliveries are curbside-to-unit with care for shared hallways, elevators, and floors so you stay on the good side of your building.
Cabinets that actually fit condo life
Two things matter most in a condo: speed and smart use of space. Most of our shaker and slim-shaker lines are in stock and ready in about 3–5 days — a big deal when you have a rental turnover, a closing date, or a building that only allows work during set months. For tight kitchens we lean on space-maximizing pieces: taller wall cabinets to the ceiling, corner and lazy-susan bases, and slim-shaker doors that keep a small kitchen feeling clean and open.
Assembled or flat-pack — whatever fits the elevator
Older buildings sometimes have small service elevators or narrow doorways that fully assembled cabinets can’t clear. We can supply cabinets assembled for a fast install, or ready-to-assemble (RTA) so they fit through tight access and get built on-site. For oversized pieces like corner sink bases or lazy-susan cabinets, assembly can often be finished in your unit when the cabinet won’t fit through the door.
