Are the boxes plywood, not particleboard?
Yes. We build only with plywood boxes and solid-wood face frames — never particleboard or MDF, which can swell and break down if they get wet. On framed cabinets we use a 1/2″ plywood box: the solid-wood face frame carries much of the load and keeps the cabinet square. On frameless (full-access) cabinets, where there is no face frame, we use 3/4″ plywood so the box itself holds everything straight.
Are the shelves plywood, not particleboard?
Yes. We use 3/4″ plywood shelves, not particleboard shelves, which can sag over time.
Are the drawers solid wood with dovetail joints?
Our lines are built with solid birch and dovetail drawer construction, not stapled or glued particleboard drawer boxes.
Are the doors and face frames real wood?
The face frames are solid wood. On doors, we are straight about the constructions you will find in this market: solid-wood frames with painted plywood center panels (the top tier); solid-wood frames with an engineered center panel (the most common painted-door construction, chosen for dimensional stability); and a small number of one-piece HDF doors. We usually steer customers toward the wood-framed options, and many styles are also available in solid wood.
Is soft-close hardware standard? Is Blum available?
Yes on both. Every cabinet comes with soft-close hinges and soft-close drawer glides as standard — not an upgrade. And if you want the top name in the industry, we can build with premium Blum hardware on request.
Is there a durable, protective finish?
Our doors are finished and sealed for daily kitchen use; slab doors are fully wrapped and sealed on both faces for easy cleaning.
What is the warranty?

How fast can I get them?
Most of our in-stock shaker and slim-shaker cabinets ship assembled and are ready for pickup or delivery in about 3–5 days, up to 150 miles from our Chicago showroom. Every order is inspected before it leaves. Premium and made-to-order Designer lines have longer lead times, which we confirm when you quote.
